Where Does the Money Go?

  • I will have to find and pay voice actors for each character in the series. I’m paying for their effort, time, and ability to bring the characters to life.

  • I estimate that there will be at LEAST 100 hours of screenplay, if not, more.

    That’s a lot for a beginniner series, in my opinion anyway, but I know damn-well I’m excited for that.

    Anyway, that takes a lot of effort. A lot of time. A lot of storyboards, clean up, compositing, and actually making it ready to be posted.

    That costs some money, not gonna lie.

  • Everything from footsteps and doors to gadgets, portals, pranks, explosions, and all that funky little sounds that make the world feel alive.

  • My goal is to create a theme soundtrack for Where Snow Doesn’t Fall and get a Original Song created for it too. That’s literally my dream, to get someone to create such a goofy, but somehow accurate, song about Where Snow Doesn’t Fall (specifically the Meme Squad).

  • To be honest, the most important one, and the one the donations would likely go to.

    The cost does vary, depending on so many factors. The first factors are the animation, then voice acting, then sound effects, equipment, and so on.

    And it also depends on guess what?

    Quality.

    A really indie project can cost from 0$ to 5,000$.

    And a High Quality-studio production can go up to 100,000$+

    (That is all an estimate if the pilot episode is roughly ten minutes long, and that’s assuming regular episodes are around twenty-five minutes. That said, it might change depending on what’s better for composition.)

    For a beginner pilot? No, I’m probably not going to go overboard, but I care about quality more than ANYTHING else. So I will do whatever it takes to fulfil my vision of the series. When I’m making the first episode, it’s GOING to have expressive animation, it’s going to have genuine voice acting, and good backgrounds, and songs, etc.

    That all said, it’s my passion to make not only a really good pilot episode, but a great series based directly off the books.

  • Production costs will come with software, equipment, artists, editors, audio work, and other behind-the-scenes expenses; basically everything combined.

    Marketing is how I can bring Where Snow Doesn’t Fall to more audiences. I mean, not just to more viewers, but to around the world. It would literally be MAGIC if I could introduce WSDF to readers and viewers and present it to them IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE, which for simpler terms, would be me translating it.

    Another thing is Merch. I have a lot of cool ideas and I want to make that a thing.

I have always planned to fund this project one way or another, mostly myself, but animation is a MUCH bigger project, it’s not like writing or drawing, because while that does take time, I’m essentially doing that for “free”, as in it costs 5 or 6 bucks for an ebook, and around 20 for a paperback. That’s all my work you’re buying for a book that already took around a year to make.

Animation though?

That is a totally different story, and like above stated, it takes a lot to put into it. Resources, but time as well.

But donations and support CAN make it possible sooner, it can make it easier to produce, and potentially give it WAY bigger potential. Every contribution will literally bring the series to life quicker and shinier. 100% of donations on this page goes to WSDF animation and its production.
