The Wrist Gadgets

Made by Yin, parts taken from Mr. Finch. ‘The Wrist Gadgets’ were born from a design both were aware of, but only Mr. Finch was able to replicate what he calls the ‘Charely Connectors.’ This is a electromagnetic device that warps reality, and can be used for portalling. And by warping reality, maybe not literally—but folding magnetic pathways so two points overlap momentarily.

However, thanks to Yin, it’s been taken and used within the shell of black casing and motherboards programmed to translate electromagnetism to coordinates.

The reason why electromagnetism can be linked to a system of coordinates is thanks to the simple, controlled climate of Edyn and Idyll. So not only is the weather controlled, but the frequency, magnetism, and elecricity are managed as well.

That said, Yin successfully found a way to teleport by using coordinates.

On the other note—how does she teleport without plugging a coordinate in? And rather, just by thinking her destination?

Well, that’s a mystery.

Though it’s theorized that it has something to do with neural impulses—neither Yin nor Finch knows why it works, only that it does.

On the other note, she can’t teleport anywhere she’s never been—or, well, her gadgets have never been. As of yet, that’s the only limitation she’s found—so far.

Other things to note;

• If teleporting in the exact spot of an object that already takes up space, she will simply slide to the side until their particles are not crossing each other.

• If teleporting to a second, third, fourth floor, she figures it’s important to note exactly the right coordinate, in case of slipping through the floor or falling through the air.

• Yin does not know how to replicate Mr. Finch’s Charely Connectors, and still has yet to fully understand how it works.

• Multiple objects at once can be teleported to or from her. This dives into two different facts.

  • One; multiple objects can be teleported as long as they are in close contact. Example being, holding an item in your hand, or being shoulder to shoulder (and not just briefly).

  • Secondly; Objects can only be teleported to her or away from her. Objects cannot be teleported side to side, because it has not directly come in contact with the electromagnetic field.
